Birdie Joe Danielson is on her way, folks, and she’s coming whether Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan are ready or not — and, as we learn in tonight’s Total Bellas Season 2 Episode 4 recap, they definitely fall on the wrong side of “not.”
Like every parent, Brie and Daniel are thinking about the future for the soon-to-be Birdie, and on tonight’s episode, they discussed who would take care of the little one should something terrible happen and they are no longer able to do so. Brie’s first choice of godparent is, logically, darling Nikki… but there’s a catch named John Cena, who has steadfastly indicated that he does not want little Faces that Run the Place, either with Nikki or anyone else. Bummer.
So, Brie — at her final maternity shoot, no less — makes the next logical choice: her brother, JJ, and his wife, Lauren.
Perhaps as is to be expected, Nikki feels some type of way about all this. Also perhaps as is to be expected, Cena is an even bigger pain in the ass than we all realized prior to this. In the car, Cena — who, at this point, hasn’t asked Nikki to marry him — flips out when he realizes that Nikki hasn’t set up a will or a living trust. But when Nikki tells Cena that she wants him to have power of attorney so he can make life-and-death decisions on her behalf if she becomes incapacitated, it takes about 2 seconds for Cena to say “nope.” Classy!
Naturally, this opens up a whole new can of worms involving Nikki and her place in John’s life, and why he hasn’t married her, and kids, and all of it.
She even goes so far as to try to convince herself that it’s okay to just be “life partners” with someone else.
“He’s been saying he’s for marriage for how long and I still haven’t been proposed to,” Nikki said. “But there is nothing wrong with being life partners.”
With an early double elimination week in the history books, which included dancing two different routines on back-to-back nights, Nikki Bella is still in the running for the Mirror Ball Trophy on Season 25 of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.”
After Monday’s Viennese Waltz and a judges’ score of 21 combined with viewer votes, Nikki was safe on Tuesday’s Latin Night, where she danced the samba to this summer’s hit, “Despacito.” The samba scored her an 18 from the judges, so Nikki still needs your votes before an elimination on next Monday’s “Guilty Pleasures” Night. Nikki – the only Latina in the competition – nixed her nerves about getting close to professional partner Artem Chigvintsev for the sexy samba and donned a curve-hugging purple outfit and matching sparkly lipstick. But the judges weren’t sold on her sultry look and dance, which kicked off Latin Night.
Judge Len Goodman said he wasn’t keen on all the gyrating. “You’ve got to use your feet and your legs a little stronger so you get the samba bounce action, which it was lacking,” he said.
Judge Bruno Tonioli was a bit easier on The Bella Twin: “Once you got going, you got going nicely,” Tonioli commented. “The timing was a little bit off, but the look was on.”
During her post-dance interview with co-host Erin Andrews, Nikki said she particularly enjoyed her second dance of the week.
“Being a Latina, I love Latin night,” Nikki said. “I think my hips get a little too out of control. I get a little too excited, so I do kind of lose the form, and I think I just go into Nicole’s own little rhythm, so I have to work on that.”
Call to vote for Nikki toll-free at 1-800-868-3409. (Save this number, as it will be Nikki and Artem’s number to dial each week!) Note, only your first 12 votes count, and phonelines stay open for only 60 minutes after the finish of “Dancing with the Stars” in your local time zone. You can also vote online 12 times at dwtsvote.abc.go.com up to 24 hours after the end of the show.
See Nikki next Monday when “Dancing with the Stars” returns to ABC at 8/7 C.
Nikki Bella is safe through the first round of elimination on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” After her Viennese Waltz in Monday’s ballroom, she scored a 21, but she still needs your votes before an elimination on Tuesday’s Latin Night! Call 1-800-868-3409 up to 60 minutes after the show, or vote online at dwtsvote.abc.go.com through Tuesday at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT.
With the help of professional partner Artem Chigvintsev, the elegant Bella Twin glided through the starlit “Dancing” ballroom to “Come Away with Me.” Nikki, who was dressed in a sophisticated, sparkly, flowing gown, said she drew inspiration from her nana, who she called “elegant, classy and the most amazing woman who has ever walked the earth.”
After the beautiful waltz, which allowed Nikki to show off her softer side, the Total Bellas star and Artem received three 7s, scoring a 21 out of 30, a point higher than last week.
“It was prim, it was proper, it was correct,” judge Bruno Tonioli commented. “You did a very, very good job, my darling.”
Judge Len Goodman echoed the sentiment and noted Nikki’s improvement from last week: “Your head was much better. You weren’t looking down. You had soft, lyrical movement.”
“Dancing” co-host Erin Andrews said Nikki looked like a “fairy princess,” as The Bella Twin glowed in her post-dance interview, saying, “I felt like I was just on Broadway, like I was living this movie.”
As Nikki’s score ticked up a point, Charlotte Flair was also spotted in the “Dancing” audience to cheer on her fellow WWE Superstar.
Nikki made her “Dancing with the Stars” debut last week on the Season 25 premiere of the ABC reality hit. Her judges’ score of 20 — combined with viewer votes last week — has kept Nikki in the competition to dance again this Tuesday on Latin Night. But she needs the WWE Universe’s help to vote to keep dancing for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy!
Call to vote for Nikki toll-free at 1-800-868-3409. (Save this number, as it will be Nikki and Artem’s number to dial each week!) Note, only your first 13 votes count, and phonelines stay open for only 60 minutes after the finish of “Dancing with the Stars” in your local time zone. You can also vote online 13 times at dwtsvote.abc.go.com until 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT Tuesday. Bella Army unite and let your voice be heard!
On Tuesday, Nikki will dance again during Latin Night at 9/8 C, and one of the 12 remaining contestants will be eliminated at the close of that episode in the week’s special double elimination. Rumor has it Nikki and Artem will be dancing samba to the hit of the summer, “Despacito.”
Then, there will be another elimination next Monday, Oct. 2, when “Dancing with the Stars” returns to ABC at 8/7 C to celebrate “guilty pleasures.”
On this week’s episode of Total Bellas, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella seem to be very much at odds with each other. First, the two have a disagreement over their dog Winston. Brie isn’t happy that Nikki is disrespecting her authority when it comes to visiting with him. Then things get heated when Brie finds out that Nikki left town and dropped him off with their mom without telling her.
Luckily, the two are able to patch things up and come to a “custody” agreement with each other. However, that wasn’t the only drama between the Bella twins this week. The pair also got into it after Nikki discovered that Brie was planning to throw her a “woman empowerment” party, which Nikki felt was more like a pity party.
What’s a “woman empowerment” party you ask? “It’s, like, because you’re never going to have a child so hip hip hooray for you,” J.J. Garcia explains to Nikki at dinner. Ummm ya. But Nikki did have to admit that Brie had the right reasons for it, even if the execution was slightly embarrassing for her.
While Nikki didn’t have a party of her own, she did throw Brie one hell of a baby shower. Plus, Daniel Bryan surprised Brie with a baby monitor she had her eye on when they were out scanning items for their registry together. He definitely gets husband points for that one!
Nikki Bella made her “Dancing with the Stars” debut Monday night on the Season 25 premiere of the ABC reality hit. Now you, the WWE Universe, must vote to keep the WWE Superstar in the competition!
On Monday’s premiere, Nikki did a fierce tango with professional partner Artem Chigvintsev, rocking a bright red outfit reminiscent of her in-ring gear of several years ago. Nikki and Artem received two 7s and a 6, scoring a 20 out of 30 – a very good mark for a “Dancing with the Stars” debut!
Judge Len Goodman advised The Bella Twin to stop looking down during her performance because looking up will make her seem more comfortable.
“Come out there and sizzle, my lovely,” Goodman told Nikki, “Well done.”
After backstage host Erin Andrews told Nikki she’s always had a “girl crush” on her, she asked The Bella Twin how hard it was to step out of her comfort zone.
“It’s definitely difficult. I’m used to body slamming girls for a living, so coming out here and being graceful and putting on a dress and heels is tough. But I have an amazing coach,” she said, giving props to Chigvintsev, whom she bodyslammed and pinned at the fiery close of their impactful dance.
Nikki’s Season 25 competition includes married entertainment personalities Nick and Vanessa Lachey, popstar Debbie Gibson and “Property Brothers” star Drew Scott.
Nikki is well on her way to obtaining the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy, but she needs your votes! Next week, Nikki will dance again Monday night’s ballroom night at 8/7 C, and one of the 13 starting contestants will be eliminated at the close of that episode. Then, there will be another elimination next Tuesday night on Latin night.
On this week’s episode of Total Bellas, Nikki Bella is helping her brother J.J. Garcia as he continues to cope with his separation from his wife Lauren Garcia. He hasn’t told the family yet and is staying at Nikki and John Cena’s new villa while he figures things out.
Unfortunately, he happens to walk by in a towel while Nikki is facetiming their mom, and she may have put two and two together and thought Nikki was cheating. Uh-oh. When Brie confronts her sister about the accusation, she is forced to breakdown and tell her the truth about the “mystery man” she was hiding. “JJ asked me if he could move in,” Nikki reveals. “Him and Lauren are separated.”
Of course Brie just wants the best for her brother and confronts him while on a family vacation to Tahoe. “I don’t want you to give up quickly,” Brie shares. “It’s your marriage and you can do whatever you want, but I don’t want you to give up quickly,” Brie explains. “You might regret that for the rest of your life.”
Meanwhile, Brie is dealing with some marriage issues of her own, like her overly excited husband Daniel Bryan He is driving Brie crazy with his obsession with using cloth diapers instead of plastic because it’s better for the environment. “I do care about our planet,” Brie explains. “But let me enjoy this pregnancy!”
As a form of payback, she gets Daniel to do a simulated labor experience which basically is just electrocution, but he’s a great sport about it. Annoying or not, he’s excited and ready to be a great dad.
The Bella Twins are slowly building an empire. They’re most famous for being the twin sisters who have dominated the WWE for ten years, but it’s much more than dropkicks and body slams these days. They’re reality TV stars, appearing in both Total Divas and Total Bellas, as well as philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and YouTubers.
As kids they grew up playing competitive soccer. Nikki played in college and won MVP at Grossmont College in San Diego. After graduating, they moved to Los Angeles to pursue an entertainment career.
It didn’t come easy: They waitressed, modeled, and took small acting gigs when they could.
“There were so many times that, as waitresses, you look at your bank account and you literally have 100 bucks and you’re thinking, ‘How am I going to pay my utility bill, my rent?’ But at the same time thinking, ‘How am I going to accomplish my dreams?’ And that’s how we got to cocktailing. We could have a full day, we could make more money, so we started planning and thinking, ‘How can we use the 24 hours in a day, while being a waitress, but still trying to get to your goal,’” remembers Brie.
They were always hustling, while pursuing their dreams.
Nikki said, “I started working at 15 and haven’t stopped since then. So I always knew that my bills get paid first and dreams come next. I would always make sure that I made my shifts, bills were paid, saving money, and then I’d start to do what I loved.”
Brie was the one who started thinking about wrestling as career. It combined everything that they loved: Entertainment and sports. “When Brie started showing me what the women were doing at WWE…That’s my calling! I get to be athletic, and I get to entertain, and be larger than life and be this character. And I get paid for it? It was like God came down and said, ‘This is it!’” said Nikki.
