Folks, Baby Birdie is literally minutes away from arriving, and Bryan and Brie Danielson (a/k/a Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan) can’t think of anything else except the arrival of their little chicken.

So, needless to say, one of the first things they did was go off and get DNA tests to find out where, exactly, their fine heritage comes from so they could pass this on to Birdie when the time came. (They also needed an idea or two for Birdie’s middle name.)

Brie, of course, is Mexican and Italian — or so she thought until the DNA tests came back, and it was revealed that she was a mishigoss of European, Jewish, and Native American heritage. For what it’s worth, Bryan has Viking heritage. For a while, it seemed like Brie would completely ignore this awesome heritage of her husbands (they have horned helmets, you guys!)…until she throws Bryan a surprise Viking themed party. Bryan, in turn, honors Brie’s newfound Jewish heritage by agreeing to give Birdie the middle name of “Joe,” after Brie’s grandfather (or “pop-pop”).

Meanwhile, Nikki didn’t expect that her return to the WWE would be long-term — she figured she would leave after the much-anticipated WrestleMania tag-team match with John Cena to “focus on other business ventures.” But then she sees the Barbie dolls modeled after her and her sister, and wonders if, perhaps, she should stay on board a little longer so she can inspire other girls. But then, during an episode of SmackDown Live, Nikki gets a neck injury that — dun dun duuuun! — threatens to cut her wrestling career short altogether.

On next week’s episode, we find out if Nikki’s wrestling career does, indeed, get cut short — and what baby Birdie really is gonna look like (spoiler alert: she’s a cutie!).

Although it’s been said many times, many ways: Welcome to “Most Memorable Year” on Dancing With the Stars. Now, prepare to cry.

It’s not like DWTS doesn’t know what it’s doing — just look at how many couples have been assigned the contemporary style of dance. “Contemporary” is dance speak for “Make them feel. Make them feeling every last thing.” They are begging us to cry! What with people dancing about late loved ones, premature babies, and LEARNING TO WALK AGAIN, we should be able to oblige.

Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev
Contemporary, “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten
Nikki’s most memorable year is 2016, the year she discovered a possibly career-ending neck injury. And by “injury” she means her neck was about to snap in half. You know, that old injury. Nikki pushed through recovery (anyone else feel intense shame watching Nikki work out whilst wearing a neck brace?) and found herself back in the ring seven months later. She is a fighter. As Erin points out in the post-routine interview, the best part of this contemporary routine set inside a wrestling ring clad with silks is the big “thank you” Nikki gives to Artem when it ends. The routine showed off her strength and vulnerability, her power and artistry. She thought it was the first time she was really able to share her true self, and that was all Artem. Artem!
Judges’ Score: 24/30

Now that we’ve emotionally destroyed everyone, let’s tell one couple they are no longer good enough to stay on this show. Up for elimination are: Nick and Peta and Derek and Sharna. Unfortunately, on this moving night, the time has come to say goodbye to Derek and Sharna. I feel like they were just getting started. Oh, Sharna. One day, the queen will have her Mirrorball.

Here’s to new beginnings!

On this week’s episode of Total Bellas, Brie Bella and Nikki Bella have lots to celebrate! The twins are launching a new line wines and head up to Sonoma, Calif. with the family to mix a little business with pleasure. While the ladies are busy preparing for their meetings, their mom is busy meddling in their business.

“Should I do anything at the dinner?” Kathy Colace asks her daughters. “My mom doesn’t think we’re prepped enough for our business dinner,” Nikki shares. “I understand we’re younger and we haven’t run a company like she has for a long time but we’re definitely going to be prepared.”

Everything comes to a head during a family dinner when Kathy calls out her kids for never appreciating her. “F–k you all,” she tells them before heading to bed. While the twins are busy trying to prove themselves to their mom, J.J. Garcia goes a bit too far with some pranks.

Between placing a fart machine under the table during dinner to jumping out and scaring Nicole in the dark, the family has had enough of his antics on this episode. Even though things got pretty heated and everyone was annoyed, the girls still had an amazing time in Sonoma celebrating the launch of their new wine.

At a time when the country is mourning the unspeakable tragedy in Las Vegas, it can seem a bit ridiculous to sit down and watch a televised celebrity dance competition — but if this sometimes silly but always uplifting show can give someone a respite from the grief and anger for a short while, then maybe it isn’t so ridiculous. ABC has decided the show must go on, and after a few words from Tom Bergeron, the show does exactly that. Everything is terrible, but at least we can focus on dancing for two hours.

The good news is that there will be no elimination tonight; the bad news is that it’s “guilty pleasure” night and almost no one knows what a guilty pleasure actually is. A grown man loving boy bands? Yes. Hanging out with your friends? Not so much. Anyway, let’s try to feel as much joy as we can muster tonight — to the dance floor.

Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev
Viennese Waltz, “Love on the Brain” by Rihanna
The true gift of tonight’s DWTS? Artem Chigvintsev as Fabio. I will treasure that moment always. Nikki’s guilty pleasure is romance novels, specifically 50 Shades of Grey. When Artem shows up with some very naughty choreography, Nikki all but chokeholds the guy to get him to admit he watched the movie in preparation. Now, this is a true guilty pleasure! Their routine is definitely not a traditional Viennese waltz, but it is pretty steamy. As Carrie Ann points out, it’s a big risk — especially with Nikki’s fiancé, John Cena, sitting in the audience staring down Artem. That man is a handsome tree and please, please, please, can we get him on this show?
Judges’ Score: 21/30

Since the folks behind Dancing With the Stars wisely decided to forego an elimination tonight, we could simply focus on the joy and positivity that dancing can bring. We needed it. Until next time, Dancing fam!

Birdie Joe Danielson is on her way, folks, and she’s coming whether Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan are ready or not — and, as we learn in tonight’s Total Bellas Season 2 Episode 4 recap, they definitely fall on the wrong side of “not.”

Like every parent, Brie and Daniel are thinking about the future for the soon-to-be Birdie, and on tonight’s episode, they discussed who would take care of the little one should something terrible happen and they are no longer able to do so. Brie’s first choice of godparent is, logically, darling Nikki… but there’s a catch named John Cena, who has steadfastly indicated that he does not want little Faces that Run the Place, either with Nikki or anyone else. Bummer.

So, Brie — at her final maternity shoot, no less — makes the next logical choice: her brother, JJ, and his wife, Lauren.

Perhaps as is to be expected, Nikki feels some type of way about all this. Also perhaps as is to be expected, Cena is an even bigger pain in the ass than we all realized prior to this. In the car, Cena — who, at this point, hasn’t asked Nikki to marry him — flips out when he realizes that Nikki hasn’t set up a will or a living trust. But when Nikki tells Cena that she wants him to have power of attorney so he can make life-and-death decisions on her behalf if she becomes incapacitated, it takes about 2 seconds for Cena to say “nope.” Classy!

Naturally, this opens up a whole new can of worms involving Nikki and her place in John’s life, and why he hasn’t married her, and kids, and all of it.

She even goes so far as to try to convince herself that it’s okay to just be “life partners” with someone else.
“He’s been saying he’s for marriage for how long and I still haven’t been proposed to,” Nikki said. “But there is nothing wrong with being life partners.”

With an early double elimination week in the history books, which included dancing two different routines on back-to-back nights, Nikki Bella is still in the running for the Mirror Ball Trophy on Season 25 of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

After Monday’s Viennese Waltz and a judges’ score of 21 combined with viewer votes, Nikki was safe on Tuesday’s Latin Night, where she danced the samba to this summer’s hit, “Despacito.” The samba scored her an 18 from the judges, so Nikki still needs your votes before an elimination on next Monday’s “Guilty Pleasures” Night. Call 1-800-868-3409 up to 60 minutes after the show, or vote online at dwtsvote.abc.go.com up to 24 hours after the show.

Nikki – the only Latina in the competition – nixed her nerves about getting close to professional partner Artem Chigvintsev for the sexy samba and donned a curve-hugging purple outfit and matching sparkly lipstick. But the judges weren’t sold on her sultry look and dance, which kicked off Latin Night.

Judge Len Goodman said he wasn’t keen on all the gyrating. “You’ve got to use your feet and your legs a little stronger so you get the samba bounce action, which it was lacking,” he said.

Judge Bruno Tonioli was a bit easier on The Bella Twin: “Once you got going, you got going nicely,” Tonioli commented. “The timing was a little bit off, but the look was on.”

During her post-dance interview with co-host Erin Andrews, Nikki said she particularly enjoyed her second dance of the week.

“Being a Latina, I love Latin night,” Nikki said. “I think my hips get a little too out of control. I get a little too excited, so I do kind of lose the form, and I think I just go into Nicole’s own little rhythm, so I have to work on that.”

Call to vote for Nikki toll-free at 1-800-868-3409. (Save this number, as it will be Nikki and Artem’s number to dial each week!) Note, only your first 12 votes count, and phonelines stay open for only 60 minutes after the finish of “Dancing with the Stars” in your local time zone. You can also vote online 12 times at dwtsvote.abc.go.com up to 24 hours after the end of the show.

See Nikki next Monday when “Dancing with the Stars” returns to ABC at 8/7 C.
